Many people ask me about rear sets, I have used rear sets or step backs as they say in Japan for over 46 years, and I thought that I would offer affordable rear sets that you can fit on pretty much any machine, you just need to fit an aluminum plate to your frame so that these can bolt to them.
These are made from 6061 aluminum and are Silver but can offer Black as well, they are priced super low and great for a fast build when you cannot find anything out there, these can pretty much go where ever you want on your bike, you just need to fabricate the brake arm and what I do is cut the brake lever off but keep the broaching part, weld a straight piece of metal on the top and drill a 6mm hole to you can fit the rear set bracket to your workable position, then using either flat bar or round stock, attach both parts together and there you go, pretty easy.
Now, you could spend $400-$600 on a high-end rear set and that is up to you, but if you can use these, you will save enough money to use that on something else likes tires or exhaust or upholstery etc., it’s all about affordability I believe, and these are a great way to get that sleek race look that you have been after. These are less than $100 what a deal.
These are a compact set up and I have used this set you see here on a 1974 CB750K but you can easily adapt to fit ANY machine to be honest from Ducati to BMW to be honest. just a little imagination and patience and you will soon be laying on your bike and getting into them corners like you want to as stock pegs bring your feet too far forward if you are using clubman bars etc.
What you get is the Machined knurled footpeg mechanism, the drilled arm and toe shifter and brake pedal, and you simply make up your own round bar linkage to your length, like I did with mine, I used an old gear shifter and cut the foot shift off and welded an upright post with a hole in it and on the other side I used an old brake pedal and cut the foot part off to just use the broaching part to sit on the shaft and welded a tab to that so I can connect any linkage.
Cheap and ready to go, I thought that i would offer these units on here so you can see how I make use of them with a CB750 Honda, but these are a universal set up, making it usable for your motorcycle with a little bit of fabrication using a flat plate and a u bracket to connect to your frame and some round tubing to make linkage.
Thanks for looking and hope that these are something that you can use I will have these in Silver Alloy and have that Classic look that are very sporty and give your foot firm grip due to the knurling.
The Alloy knurled footpegs are 3-1/4 long. The shifter and brake arm are 7 inches long. The post brackets are2 inches high the gear shift foot rubber and brake rubber are 13/4 and 5/8 thick.
Easy to unscrew the button head bolt and attach to a plate with smooth action.
