Dunstall Style Seat Base CB550 CB750 UNIVERSAL FIT

I have been manufacturing my Dunstall style seat bases for 25 years now, I have seen some of my products on bikes still from over 2 decades ago, that’s testament to the quality and customer satisfaction that all my parts bring, and am so happy to continue to offer this unique seat base assembly to you for your two wheeled machines.

The great thing about the parts I make, is mostly all of them are a universal fit, I build many CB750 CB550 and CB500 bikes but have fitted these to Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and BMW machines and with some adjustment to your own frame, you can make this fit pretty much any brand of motorcycle.

This seat base is about 26 inches in length and from the front on the underside, it is about 8 3/4 inches wide, going to about 9 inches at the rear, so you can see that you have plenty of roo to do all sorts of things, you could cut a hole in the back hump and make a tray to fit you battery and electronics, I have made that work on quite a few builds over the years and its hidden in the hump so nobody notices it.

 

This is a close model to the Original Paul Dunstall seat that many Race track riders chose back in the 60’s and 1970’s and as I made this long in the base, you can simply just cut across the seat to shorten it to how you want it, on the photo above I had a 3 inch longer tank that I built for a customer and even my long body till felt comfortable when I shortened the seat for him by 4 inches.

 

 

This is for frames that are not going to be using their old antiquated hinge system and bolts direct to the top of the chassis, but you could fit hinges if you wanted to have quick access to your frame etc.

Tight and neat, this seat base is a great set up for the build at home builder and get so many requests for it, it is one of my top sellers to be honest and so stoked that I designed and manufactured it right here in California.
