UGG BOOT PHOTO SHOOT

A fun time we had, as UGG BOOT Australia asked if i could help with a Photos shoot for some of their new fashion boots. Sure I said and took a couple of bikes down, a bunch of my helmets and jackets and hen went to a cool old spanish villa in Siera madre for this shoot.

A great bunch of lads, the main Model they flew in from italy and the girl Model they flew in from germany, the make up guy was from France, so a whole global community was here and just a mellow cool atmosphere.

We were there maybe 4 hours and just had fun to be honest, plenty of food and plenty of laughs too thats for sure.

This fella was a great laugh and get to chin wag on the good old Facebook with him from time to time.

A really pictursque place to do the shoot and am so glad that I did it.

The cool thing for me was that when me and Jennifer went to london to see my folks, we went in the UGG boot store in pica dilly and there I was on their video, and then I was also on a giant bill board on ceasers Palace wall for all and sundrie to see, just a great time.

They were trying to capture the spirit from an old photos taken in the 60’s and got it pretty close.

I thought that I would post a couple of photos on here for you lot to see and I can share the moment.

I suppled a few bikes and a lot of clothing etc and it really turned out well.

Look forward to another shoot one day as we all seemed to hit it off that day and I will never forget it.

Hope you dig the photos, and it was nice to be in a little bit of that show Biz environment.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Some video’s for you to view at your leisure- Happy Monday.

Happy Monday- yeah, it soon gets here doesnt it? Well I thought I would ease you into your Monday, by adding some cool old video’s, then at your own time and pace, you can view them and see what you think.
the one below is typical old English styled Home movie type episodes, I remember wheh I used to go to saturday Morning Pictures as a kid, they would show these before the big movie came on, I have to laugh at the music, Motorcycles and a orchestra just dont seem to mesh eh?
So below, enjoy.

Next up, people ask me all the time about the History of the Cafe Racer, to be honest, there are many stories, and i have heard from old fella’s that raced from Cafe to cafe as early as the 1940’s in London but in the 50’s and 1960’s most cafeteria’s or milk Bar’s. all had a juke box, you would select a record, jump on your bike and race against others to see who can get back first and of course, before the record ends.
To even to get back first is some feat, but to beat the record playing, well you must of hit the magic TON (100 MPH ) and that too is some feat back in the day.
Enjoy.

Now, a movie that hit the big screen in 1964 was called the leather Boys, here is a bunch of clips from the movie to give you something to watch today, may not be your cup of tea but this was one of the cafe movies to watch if you were into motorcycles back in the day, I must of seen this 100 times.
Enjoy

OK, now to cross the waters from back home in the UK, we shall now buzz over to the land of the rising Sun, and the Cafe Racer scene has been followed for many moon’s and wanted to show this documentary of the cool rides out there in Japan.
Enjoy.

We get many emails asking about the motorcycles, the clothing, the apparel, the lifestyle etc, and we try our best to help accomodate every queston, and the reason that I type out blogs is that some of the things I am into, many of you are too. As well as being informative, I believe that the Motorcycle lifestyle that we are into is almost family like, you lot are friends of mine and people that I genuingly believe to be a big part of the motorcycle fraternity of Cafe Racers.
This year I shall try to do a little more and if I get the New Royal Enfield this year, have a few rides for charity etc, I would also like to maybe at some point, build a give away bike and the money used for that can go to a charity, as I like to help where ever I can and promoting the fun of motorcycling is something that I have always held close to my heart.
Being a leo, I am a giver, I will walk the extra mile and I do cross the T’s and dot the I’s when it comes down the completness in things.

Many people I have spoken too, really are having fun with motorcycles, people now have a healthy hobby that creates more froends and a closer relationship with kin, and thats a good thing.
I have also seen a lot of Father and son builds and that really is something that turns my dial, but the cherry on the cake for me is seeing how many Gorls are now riding and even building their very own machines, this is something I have always wanted to see more of and is now coming to fruition.

Japanese bikes, especially Honda, are still affordable and the good thing with these Rising Sun machines is that the Honda Motor compant envisioned servicing for many moons, so made more parts for every model, I mean how about this, you can still buy points, cam chains, pistons gaskets etc for a 40 year old motorcycle. Something that still amazes me to this day but is such a great feel of releif when I hear them say ” yes, we have that in stock”!

I am now going to try and make more exhaust systems for all rides and I now will be selling 4 into 1 for sohc, dohc and now the CB400-4 and Cb350-4, so keep checking our website for the parts pages as we try and add all the time.

Other things is that I hope to offer more helmets to people, some will be one offs that I paint and I am sure that you will enjoy tthe style etc.
I am also offering more tee shirts as i have a brand new design coming out that needed to be done.
Here at Carpys Cafe Racers, I hope to make more seats, some different handlebars, more head lights and even going to start my own artwork again, as i like to still draw from time to time.

Hopefully I can make some shows over 2014 and want to come down to Florida to see Jason and the boys at Dime City etc as we have all become good mates in this fun adventure of motorcycle design and creativity.

The shop will have a few more changes too, as I am trying to make it more workable for me and some other cool things in the planning as I hope to build or buy a 1929 Ford roadster as i had one before but had to sell it when all my mates moved out to go their seperate ways and I love Hot rods, the whole Nostalgia thing is what I and many are all about.

We have also just bought a New Miller tig welder and that means I can start to design a few more parts and get some cool things flowing from my brain to the table, the designing is what I love and hope to continue with.
I want to make it to more shows and get to meet more customers as I speak or email so many, it is nice to put the face to the name, and I really look forward to that this year. If any of you are or will be coming to California, how about dropping by to say hello? We are always pleased to meet you and hear how your builds are going, as we get people pop in from all over the globe as we are quite close to Disneyland.

I shall be treating my Alloy Bike to a New set of our 4 into 2 exhaust systems and I think my ones will be Stainless steel to match all the shiney stuff on that Classic Cafe Racer Motorcycle and then take some video of me riding the bike so you can hear and see how the bike is no matter where you are around the globe.

My Belstaff RoadMaster II Jacket for sale on Ebay right now

BELSTAFF JACKET OPF MINE FOR SALE- VERY RARE TO FIND THESE DAYS.

TIME LEFT RIGHT NOW:

1 day 5 hours (Dec 30, 2013 17:41:41 PST)
Well Here is something that you really don’t see that often and when you do, they go for a lot of money to collectors etc.

Above is the link that I have for my Original Belstaff Jacket that I have had over 20 years and used to wear in the City of London when delivering to places on my Dispatch bike.

This kept me warm and toasty in the winter months, and I assure you, this is a really good warm jacket that you will be glad that you own.

I now live in Southern California, so never need to wear it in the lovely sunny weather that we are blessed to receive.

So, I thought I would bung it on Ebay and someone else can get miles of smiles out of this wax proofed Belstaff jacket that has so much style and charisma as well as doing a superb job to keep out the elements.

Belstaff is the BEST all weather jacket in the world-barr none.

This is the Roadmaster II and I love how warm it feels, all the pockets have brass snaps that seal everything up, with a strong zipper this will keep the wind and the rain out.

I did have a belt but cannot find it, if I do, I shall obviously put it in with the jacket, but other than that, this is a great buy and look on ebay right now, there are a couple on there the same but want $700 plus for them.

So- mine is a great deal.

Grab it whilst you can, this is great for the TON UP rider as Rockers wore these a lot too.

This is a medium size, it still fits me but I am now 185 pounds and even though it fits, I would boil like an egg in it if I rode it in the SoCal weather.

Thanks for looking, hope someone enjoys it as much as I did.  You can email me at carpy@carpyscaferacers.com or call or text at 714-598-8392

More viewing to make Wednesday a little less boring.

Wednesday is here and I thought I would add some more eye candy for you to all be able to view today and try and help with your day going by a little more easier.

Some more Vids from the net and I am sure that some you have seen and some I am sure you have not, but makes for great watching none the less.

This is MY lifestyle that I came accustomed too many years ago and do not think I shall ever lose that flame of ” The Café Racer”
Now, I dig al motorcycles and, the cool thing about the Café Racer rides , is that you can use anything as a platform- True, the Original Cafe’s were obviously Brit iron, but that’s getting expensive and, hard to locate in some countries, so that’s why I dig other brands too.
Check out this GUZZI project.

I moved out to Australia for about 4 years and I had a Café Racer out there, the scene is getting stronger all over the globe and it is so refreshing to see so many different breeds and now the XT 600 YAMAHA have come around to seeing how cool this look really is.
Check out this Mongrel

Now a HONDA 900, just cruising the back roads.

Now, back over the pond and across the water from my Original home of the UK, this is where the French do their stuff and have a great festival.

A french festival dedicated to vintage and customized motorcycles, taking place on the mythical Linas-Montlhery speedtrack. Loud pipes, boiling oil, hot tires and leatherjackets. Let’s rock.

NEW STUFF ARRIVING ALL THE TIME.

Hey Gang

Well, here at C.C.R. westrive to continue to improve, I have ventured into other realms of our hobby and I shall be offering new products as we go along this for ever twistie road.

Keep checking back as we will be adding all the time, if you look to the right , you will see new products that I have made or have offered, and that changes everytime I introduce a part.

I shall be offering New exhaust systems too, some for the CB750 and some for the GS1000 as well as CBX and some for the Triumph Thruxton too.

I am also going to be selling new Custom made Oil tanks that have that race look and you can leave your side covers off to show the cool detailing of the oil tank, there will be round, pill shape and flat styles, so stay tuned on this.

Next up will be other machined parts like oil filter housings, triple tree’s and clip ons.

I am also looking at another front brake set up to swap out and hopefully supply a full video, explaining how we do this swap, that way it is really easy for you to do the same thing on your mean machine.

We do have a NEW website coming out this year with many new features and I know you will enjoy that, it will be very interactive and I am sure you will find it so much easier to navigate around etc.

Right now I am concentrating on a few Customers builds, but also I shall be having MY own CAFE RACER on display at STURGIS this year, if you can make it to the Buffalo Chip you can see my bike and 29 other cool Cafe Racer builders and their rides at this one off show that’s bound to take some of your breathe away.

With Gas prices climbing up faster than an ill fitting pair of underwear, many people are turning to the 2 wheeled variety and I have seen a sharp spike in the interest to make their ride ” A little more cooler” and I am glad to say that all my competitors are saying the same thing.

There are a lot of cool shops out there making some unbelievable rides of which some-are simply stunning- and I am happy that this industry is getting very popular and friendlier.

Motorcycling should be fun and friendly, I have made so many friends all over the world and, when I meet them its great to hear what they are building and, what their trends are in that part of the globe. I have been doing this many years and will continue to do so.

So, if you are reading this, then you are genuinely interested in what I do and I thank you for that, it takes a lot of time and effort to keep the website up to speed, answer phones , pack orders, build bikes and R&D new parts, but I love it and I thank you for all your purchases.

Stick with me and I will look after you, I am going to be stepping it up in many area’s soon from leather jackets-helmets and Apparel, to Motorcycle parts, DVDS and some charity rides.

Have fun with what you do and I cant wait to see what you have created, so always send us photos of the bikes you are building as we like to pass this on to everyone else that reads this.

I am also on Facebook under Steve Carpy carpenter or Carpys Cafe as well as twitter under 750racer and lastly i am even doing the instagram too under 59 club.

Now, get back in the shed and start wrenching!!!!!!
