Harley Stolen at El Mirage- Keep ya eyes peeled for it!

Always hate to have to bare bad news, but some low life stole a motorcycle at El Mirage and I wanted to spread the word, as someone may be offered the bike, such a shame as this had a lot of time, money and hard work go into this bike, be so good to get it back to the owners.

SCUMBAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone stole our Harley Evo landspeed race bike at El Mirage during the night on Saturday May 17th. It’s a 96cu.in. S & S motor. Five speed trans with kicker.

PLEASE look at the pictures and post as much as you can.

We had it displayed next to the motorcycle tech trailer with a for sale sign. Dave raced this bike last season and we thought that location would be an excellent, safe place to display it. It was stolen between Saturday night sunset and sunrise this morning. (05/18/14)
This bike was custom built by Dave Iversen and is ridden in a laydown postiion with the shifter and brake at the back axle. IT IS FOR LANDSPEED RACING, not street riding but could be reconfigured for street use.

The return of this bike undamaged without facing charges is on the table for a very short time. Let us know where we can pick up our bike. Your reward for doing so will save your ass from the landspeed family of thousands of members. It’s a strong community of racers, riders and bikers, and will ALL of them will be looking for YOU!

CHP Busts Professional Motorcycle Theft Ring

CHP Southern Division provided these photos from its December 18 press conference in Compton, California.
Glendale, Calif. – Southern Division Special Services, Vehicle Theft Unit, completed a long term “sport bike” motorcycle theft investigation dubbed “Operation Wheel Spin.” This operation was spearheaded by CHP Auto Theft Investigators to combat an increasing number of sport bike thefts in Los Angeles County. As the investigation progressed, investigators identified several professional motorcycle theft rings, their methods of operations, and their facilities used to dismantle the stolen motorcycle to be later sold as component parts. Additionally, it was determined many of the suspects were using the internet and social media to sell and distribute the stolen motorcycles and components. Operation Wheel Spin also exposed an insular group of individuals who were involved in a multitude of crimes which included, but was not limited to, robbery, larceny, burglary, fraud, and identity theft. Operation Wheel Spin spawned several ancillary criminal investigations, some of which were investigated in San Diego County and Las Vegas, Nevada. Operation Wheel Spin culminated with over 100 criminal complaint filings by the California Attorney General’s Office.
