2026 is already in fast mode

Happy New year to everybody out there, and I hope this this year will be a fun time in the garage, shed, barn or lock up storage with your own two wheels, as the months will soon be belting by and before you know it, the warmer weather will be upon you and that’s the time you will be slinging your proverbial leg over your saddle and hitting the tarmac.

Lucky for me, I live in Southern California, where the climate is pretty good for at least 11 months of the year, we just got rid of a terrible storm that bought way too much H20 and now I can begin to work up in the barn a bit more as today was a hot 80f, where many places i see around the globe have cold snow and wet conditions for quite some time ahead.

This year I want to try and finish a Stock 1976 CB750K model I have, I pulled it from a back garden a year or so ago and that had been sat for many years by his sprinklers, so it was a little worse for ware, but me liking a challenge on these inline four machines, I bought it home, along with 10 engines and bunch of other rollers that i can play with and get going in time.  the 1976 K6 needs a lot of love and every now and again I will get a fire under my arse and do a little to this bike, I did get her to spark and run last year but had other projects I needed to finish and sell on, and I have now accomplished that, so it will be time to fiddle about with this old girl and see what I can do in my spare time to get this Candy Antares red 750K back on the road, the paint work was faded and had my buddy totally revamp the tank and side covers, so when I put that all back together, she should look stunning.

You can see the old K6 when I stored it under my patio on the far left, it didn’t want to even roll along very well and had my work cut out, but I knew I would get her running again, but didn’t want to do a full restoration on this machine as I have many I can build and do that in the near future, but I have always loved the K6 as they were a really reliable year and I have owned at least a dozen of that year here in California.

As you can see, the paint has seen better days but tank itself is straight, so this needs a paint job and NO Decals, all paint, not cheap by any means but I wanted this to really look nice, I haven’t fitted it yet as I have other things to do on the motorcycle but I have New badges, Gas cap and lock and the lower moldings to fit to it when I am ready.  But here was the paint process.

So stay tuned for more photos later, I know you want to see how she turns out this will have new exhausts, seat rims and tires, caliper and brake rotor, master cylinder, chains and sprockets and tons of other stuff., then once finished it will be up for sale.
