The GHOST TRIUMPH ya either dig it or you dont.

This creation is designed almost beyond practical function, but it’s not. This bike looks like it could contain a turbo fan jet engine and burn aircraft fuel, it doesn’t.
It looks forward heavy and maybe cumbersome for turns, it isn’t.

Triumph-Ghost-2
This bike looks like someone’s idea to test the land speed record at salt flats, it isn’t.
When you ride, this bike will not look like any other bike on the road anywhere near you, ever.

Triumph-Ghost-3

Inspired by the otherworldly lotus ‘C-01’ motorcycle concept, the triumph ‘ghost’ is an elegant build brought to life by indonesia-based workshop smoked garage. based on a 2005 triumph ‘speed triple’ bike, the ‘ghost’ now features a bespoke cooling system and frame geometry, housed in a full aluminium body.

triumph ghost7

Once smoked garage had settled on the triumph as the donor bike, it didn’t waste any time stripping it back. as this was the garage’s second iteration of this futuristic bike, it was able to draw from previous experiences to improve upon the new build. it started by customizing the ‘speed triple’s’ frame and making new triple trees. it then assembled a new airbox and radiator, while adding a bespoke headlamp and custom fork sleeves to the front end.with the lightest result possible in mind, it then shaped the bodywork from five pieces of solid aluminum that join together with flush mounted bolts for an aeronautic aesthetic. smoked garage found cooling to be the biggest issue with its first bike, so it has revised the front grille and improved the scoops on the sides to draw-in more air around the engine. it also redesigned the mounting of the exhaust to help keep temperatures down.

triumph-speed-trile-ghost-10

The ‘ghost’ features a custom tail with an integrated LED light, with a pair of clip on bars and rear-set-footpegs to position the rider well for opening the throttle on the straight and narrow. the final finishing touch of the custom triumph is its minimalist paintwork–smoked garage found its final design after sketching over 40 different concepts–and when the paint was applied, it knew the ‘ghost’ had finally been brought to life.

INSTRUMENTATION

Original Triumph Speed Triple

Triumph GhosT1a

I wouldn’t recommend riding this in a suit and I should think the emissions from the exhaust port exit by your foot would make that suit soak up all them lovely fumes.

Triumph Ghost2a

Unfortunately practicability has been bunged right out of the top floor window as there is no side stand and you would have to have a Support car carrying the Motorcycle rear stand for you when ever you wanted to park it up some place.

Triumph Ghost4a

Don’t get me wrong, I would ride the thing anywhere on a flat surface for sure, just wondering how the heat is under that Cowl and does it all dissipate around your body as you ride?

triumph ghost5a

At least that LED Lighting will let people know you are approaching them.

triumph ghost6a

I loved the rear wheel set up and having the disc brake rotor Behind the sprocket but would be concerned that all the goop from the chain would spalsh all over that Rotor, making barking a frigging Nightmare.

XS400 Yamaha Brat bike 1977 Custom build from Brisbane Australia

Back in the day in the UK, these were fun machines, albeit, people want the faster RD400, the XS was a great machine and had a style unique of its own, I do not see many here in Orange County these days and this would make a fun Brat bike if you located an old rusty relic and this is what the Australian fella has done with this great ride.

Ellaspede is a great Motorcycle fab shop based in Brisbane and when Dan approached them for this build, they were all in and knew what they wanted to do to give their Customer the Cafe/Bobber styling that is quite the trend Globally right now.

xs400f

The drive train is a refreshed 392cc motor but new Crank, Piston and rebuilt carbs, this breathes well through home made smaller header tubes and custom mufflers that have a 22 degree angle and then wrapped in DEI Titanium heat wrap.

xs400b

I love the way this machine sits and the Aprillia RS125 front end looks like Factory and I am certain it will handle 100% better than the stock telescopic front end ever did. With a Brand New set of Ikcon 7610 shocks, really makes this an all round smooth ride, SR500 rear end and the wheels are shod with a set of Avon Road Runner Tires, keep this Yamaha on the Tarmac.

xs400

Chopped front fender and unusual fitting of the brake Rotor to the right hand side, makes this 400 machine stand out on the crowd, The Smaller 5-3/4 headlight sits well and balances the front end of this creation.

xs400d

As for electronics, it has been equipped with Motogadget products such as the m-Unit control box that simplifies the wiring, the m-Blaze turn signals , the Mini Motorscope Mini Gauge marker , the m-Grips and the small m-switches . The brake-position light has been integrated into the chassis.

xs400a

The wiring has been simplified, isolated and hidden through the handlebar. An Antigravity lithium battery powers the system. For the boot system, it uses the Motogadget m-Lock RFID , which makes it possible to dispense with the original key. For the controls have been added adjustable handles, a Tommaselli accelerator and a low-rise LSL handlebar . The seat made of high intensity foam has been adapted to the new shape of the subframe and finished in a dark leather.

xs400h

A really well build machine and this 1977 Classic has been resurrected into a fun motorcycle and am happy to share this build with you this morning.

xs400i

Super wide bars, Moto gadget switches and a very clean front end will make sure this bike will turn many heads where ever it is parked up, I really like this bike and am sure it will get a lot of publicity as it deserves it.

xs400j

Perfect stance and I bet this sure is a blast to ride, the riding position is bang on  and a refreshing creation that works at every angle too.

xs400k

XS Pod Filters fitted, Flat slide performance carbs now breathe through oval pod filters, ensuring there’s enough mixture going into the oversize bore.-  and all electrical hidden away under the seat, makes for a really tidy chassis, hand made seat has traditional tuck n roll to finish off right.

xs400l

This bike was literally hiding for many years in a barn over in Northern Queensland and the Customer (Dan) was stoked to get this bike and find a company that was into transforming the bike into what it is now, they tried a few gas tanks, even an RD version but in the end, the stock tank had great lines, so why not use it and I am glad to say it works tremendously.

xs400m

From the front it only gets better, that Halo light shows the way with no worries at night and  with adjustable levers and a Tommaselli throttle on LSL low-rise bars, well it is a really comfortable machine to ride anywhere to be honest.

xs500n

So much work to get the bigger rear end in and it was worth it, and with stainless hand made exhausts, well it compliments the craft of these guys down under.

xs400o

Motogadget Bar end signals make sure people can see where this machine is heading and just look how clean the front end is, albeit it would need a mirror over here.

xs400p

Having a comfortable seat looks to be impossible with some of the rides I see created these days, but no here, using high quality and density memory foam, this is lavishly applied to the hand made seat base, then for added Arse care, a gel insert was laid on top of the foam, to give your bum a Cadillac ride, then covered in an Ox Blood Naugahyde in the old school Tuck n Roll, this really finishes the bike off well.

xs400q

Hand made and double stitched, this looks like a factory made seat, a really nice job and a cool touch adding the companies name as a tag.

xs400r

Below, the Aprillia front end sits so well and look at the gas tank, Yamaha Tuning Forks logo is reminiscent of them 1970’s racing days, as well as the red Blocking that Kenny Roberts would be proud of, actually turn out to be a Ducati Color RED and white pearl and it sure works very well indeed.

xs400s

At the rear things were a little more complicated given the new wheel width. An aftermarket SR500 alloy swingarm provides some more room for rubber while matching the subtle angular aesthetic of the build. Custom spacers keep the new rear hub in place with offset adapters required to space both sprockets out for the re-specced 525 chain to clear the wider rear wheel.

The bulky factory rear disc / caliber combo was discarded in favor of a compact Yamaha drum setup, which provided the required look and is braced via a custom dogleg linkage. The rear brake actuator rod was also made to clear the wide rubber.

xs400t

The front rim was a reasonably straightforward fit with some custom axle and brake spacers bringing everything together. The factory Aprilia disc rotor bolted straight onto the Yamaha hub and the Aprilia name was machined off the brake caliper before being rebuilt. A aftermarket master cylinder and stainless braided line completes the front brake setup.

Thanks for reading my Blog today, its great receiving emails from people letting me know how it was and spreading the word on 2 wheeled creations.
Have a great Friday and hope that you get some saddle time over the weekend.

Ducati 1985 Seven Fifty F1

The Ducati 750 F1 is remembered by the marque faithful as the last of the original Ducatis, it would be the last Superbike developed and built by Ducati before the Cagiva takeover in late-1985

.

Controversially, Cagiva had intended to rebadge Ducati motorcycles with their own branding, however this would likely have led to an armed insurrection across the Italian peninsula, ending in public hangings à la Mussolini.

Wisely the Cagiva board of directors elected to keep the Ducati name alive.

THE DUCATI 750 F1

The Ducati 750 F1 was first offered to the public in 1985, and was sold until 1988. It was based on the hugely successful Ducati 600 TT2, a race bike that had won the 1981 Formula 2 World Championship, as well as the 1982, 1983, and 1984 Championships.

In ’82 Ducati decided to build the 750cc version of their world-beating 600 TT2 for Formula 1 competition. The 750 F1 was never as successful as its slightly smaller engined stablemate, but its DNA was unparalleled and before long the public were clamoring for a street-legal version they could buy from their local dealership.

HONDA CB1100 TR Concept Flat Tracker

I love Motorcycles, and many of you do as well, hence you checking my Blog out, I have a passion for Cafe Bikes, Race bikes Flat track bikes, Trials bikes, Moto X Bikes, Speedway Bikes, Hill Climbers, Custom Bobbers, Pretty much anything that has 2 wheels and is powered by an internal combustion Engine.

So when I saw this Very cool re-work on a CB1100 into a very aggressive Flat Tracker, well I had to at least add a few photos on here.

CB1100TR Concept
CB1100TR Concept

The American Flat Track aesthetic is catching hold over in Europe. We can see evidence of such by the popularity of flat track racing for Europe’s top MotoGP athletes, the rise of the Spanish Superprestigio event in Barcelona, and with the concepts we are seeing come from the European divisions of motorcycle OEMs.

CB1100TR Concept
CB1100TR Concept

Add the Honda CB1100 TR concept to that pile of evidence, as it is one of two motorcycle concepts that Honda Motor Europe is debuting at the 2016 EICMA show (the other being the very tasty Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports concept).

CB1100TR Concept
CB1100TR Concept

Built off the Honda CB1100 street bike, the Honda CB1100 TR concept takes a motorcycle we otherwise would not be terribly interested in riding, and gives it a healthy dosage of sex appeal.

Go-fast parts come from Öhlins and Termignoni, with the #58 numberplate honoring the memory of Marco Simoncelli, who passed away five years ago, and whose passing is still deeply felt in Italy.

The photos do not show the detail and craftsmanship that went into creating such a fantastic machine, I would love to ride this and I am sure the power output is linear and would have bucket loads of immense torque, I am sure that it would probably pull your arms off, then- begin to beat you with your own hands.

CB1100TR Concept

Not sure where this is now as its a year old but I sure hope its on the road, I would love to sling my leg over this puppy but the only neck that would get wrung out would be mine!!!!

CB1100TR Concept

Well done mate, I first saw the photo of you in a Chair, then I thought, “Oh No- it has put him in a wheel Chair” So glad I was wrong.

CB1100TR Concept

Whats not to like about this rear end, I am sure it will handle like a dream on the track, what it must be like with Treaded Tires on would boggle your mind.

CB1100TR Concept

A really cool and Unique bike that I really love to see and hope to see more like this come about, we aint all got the bread to get into a New bike and tear the crap out of it but there are many other earlier models that are affordable.

CB1100TR Concept

So Happy Hump day and thanks for reading my little Blog on this crazy machine and maybe it will inspire you to get out in the shed and make a start on your very own project.

Finally, the CB1000R we really want

There comes a time when it it truly time to swallow a few advil pills, so as to relieve the Neck Ache that you would endure when your Noggin snaps hard one way , to catch a Glimpse of this fantastic CB4 CB100R machine.  Nothing quite like it from the Japanese Icon for a long time and it is time for them to stand up and stand proud when it comes to the New modern Muscle Bike that can flex more than Arnold Schwarzenegger ever could.

This Power house Four is just what the Doctor ordered as Honda seemed to be dragging its heels recently as Yamaha, Kawasaki and even Suzuki bought out tough looking and eye pleasing Machines, so, well done HONDA, as this is sure to be a winner, as long as they can make it affordable and not get too Ducati-Ish in their pricing.

OK-here is the down low so far.

Honda CB4 Interceptor Concept

Forget your Panigale V4s, your updated Africa Twins and supercharged Ninja H2 SX hyper tourers for a moment, just kindly send one of these our way, please. Unveiled at EICMA show in Milan today, this Honda CB4 Interceptor concept has us all drooling. Created by Honda Rome’s R&D department, the concept has a distinct cafe racer/endurance vibe and is blessed with a profile that looks just right. While the engine is based on the competent and gutsy CB1000R, the sleek styling and creative detail touches is what has caught our imagination.

Honda-CB4-Interceptor-concept-07-e1510061683285

In place of where a traditional headlight would sit is a fan that powers the touchscreen dash with the actual headlight looking more like a ringflash, circling around the perimeter of the fan. A start button, more typically seen on sports cars, sits in a recess at the front of the fuel tank. The tiny screen looks like it would flip up enough air to take the weight off wrists and we absolutely adore the nod to the original FireBlades from the 1990s in the drilled fairing holes either flank of the cowl. They were originally intended to reduce resistance when flicking the bike from side to side, but here they’re more likely to suggest a sporting prowess to the bike.

Honda-CB4-Interceptor-concept-15-1

A fan sits where the headlight typically lives and powers a touchscreen display.

Honda-CB4-Interceptor-concept-17-1

The single-sided swingarm may add a little weight but the trade-off in aesthetics is worth it in our book. Almost as if to allow your eyeballs to fully appreciate the view of the back wheel the exhaust routes under the tail unit, before exiting out of the back.

Honda-CB4-headlight

This is just plain and Simple Baddassary in its finest form, I mean, what is there not to like about this Ton Up Machine? I cannot stop looking at it, I did love the 2008 version when they made a concept bike to go with the lines of the Caff era but this is just a balls out to the wall machine. A race horse and not handicapped in any way shape or form. here at www.carpyscaferacers.com I would dearly love to test ride something like this, I love my Thruxton be this would out handle it in any corner, straight away or track time , so fingers crossed on this HONDA.

Honda-CB4-Interceptor-concept-25-1

This is something I would of designed if I knew how to use Solid works software, and I am so stoked to see that the styling has flown throughout the whole motorcycle, what a wicked machine.

HONDA

Above: I did love this when it first entered the Tokyo show and wanted one badly and, was in talks about maybe flying over to sample this delicious machine, unfortunately the market over here just didnt seem to be interested, I was gobsmacked, so I hope that this latest rendition will turn the big wigs heads here as it is something that triumph and Ducati will be most concerned about when this hit the public highways.

Honda-CB4-Interceptor-concept-07-e1510061683285

I will be keeping my ear to the ground on this machine as it is about time that Honda stepped up at the plate and hit a Home run on the first Pitch, and this looks like the Babe Ruth of Motorcycles right now, so………………………….PLAY BALL!
