I will be riding my Trumpy to beat the traffic as you may be inline for a while to get in, if you have a flathead, make sure you have plenty of water for the radiator.

PLEASE COME EARLY TO GUARANTEE A PARKING SPACEPreregistration does not guarantee a parking space. Although we do have reserved sections for the car show entries, all parking is based on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early to secure a parking space. Gate opens by 6AM. Parking is managed by Irwindale Speedway. Once the parking lot is declared full, the gate will be closed and no vehicles will be permitted into the parking area until an official confirms an open space. MOONEYES does not have any control over the parking situation. We apologize for the trouble and any inconvenience this may cause.

Please Note: THE PARKING LOT WILL FILL UP QUICK.
Please do not setup tents in open spaces or block empty spaces. Please cooperate with the parking lot attendants at all times. After all, they are just doing their job.

Make sure that you Come early, park early, take it easy and enjoy a fine day at the show!

PREREGISTRATION ENTRY FEE: $20.00 includes 1 car and 2 persons.
Registration Entry Fee at the gate (at show) is $40.00 (1 car & 2 persons)
Motorcycles are $15.00 Preregistration or at the gate.

Thursday Tunes- something to make the day go by way smoother.

Happy Thursday Folks

I have been into Classic Rockin tunes for as long as I can remember and Today I thought I would share just a few twangy tunes that I have always dug. Instrumentals are a great form of entertainment, I cannot carry a not in a bucket but can play the air guitar like a pro.

So below are some great Instrumentals that I have always dug, I know you may not like them all but I really do and thought that you may like

OK, first up with a little “Uprising” by the Cherokees.

If you liked that then you may well indeed be into the next band, which have this awesome 1961 hit that always got people jiving on the dancefloor.

This is “Stick Shift- by the Duals.

These are Los Beatniks from Mexico, not the Argentine group of the same name.
For those who don’t know the geography of Mexico, Tampico is a city in the state of Tamaulipas.

Next up we have a great 60’s sound from The 2nd Track of of the self titled release by The Reigning Monarchs.

I have no Idea why The Fireballs give reference to this title being a Bulldog- But as I own one, thought I’d bung it in here anyway.

Now we are off to a little Burlesque style shaker named Wo’Now by the Milkshakes.

Here we are with a great rendition of “Linda” by the Starfires.

I loved Jiving to this many years ago and always a hit on the dance floor, this time we have.

Lastly, you have to finish this series off with the classic “The Whip” By the Frantics!

VIVA LAS VEGAS PART 3 The PIN UP and BURLESQUE

Well, as Vegas is obviously known for the Gambling, it is also well known to have the Handle ” Sin City” and as we were at VLV there was cool stuff to feast your eyes on and I know thyat the pun up and burlesque shows were a hit with all.

Below is some photos that I have used from the guys collection and his information is on on the photos, great shots that need to be shown Globally and I am certain there are more than one you will like.

Enjoy these shots as it will get your week off to a fun start. First off, how about the Jiving on the dance floor, bloody brilliant and all sorts of styles from Lindy hop to 50’s Rock n roll, the dance floor was a great place to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere and great moves.

These guys were the winners of the jiving contest and deservedly so and congratulations to the LA based couple pictured here, looks like they had a real blast!

Below is the pin up contest by the pool at the Orleans, what a fun event this is and many people just want to have fun, hope that you enjoy Tim’s great shots of this fun filled event at VLV 18.

They even had a Blokes Swim wear show too and next year I think I will try and enter, i mean, with Skinny Legs and a frame that wouldn’t fit a small tent, it should make everyone laugh.

How cool are some of these shots from Tim? I love the way he captures their expressions and thank him for such a good set of photos of the weekender, loved it.

Well, below VLV18 had a touch of the original Sin City and they had Burlesque shows and Burlesque bingo, we couldn’t get in as it was too packed but fun though and be sure to catch it next year.
