The Black Tibetans- Awesome Band and a Mate of mine.

Los Angeles, CA –   Formed in 2011, the three-piece Rock N’ Roll machine consists of Dinst (vocals/guitar), Tammi Tibetan (bass), and Ryan KH (drums).  The Black Tibetans fuse motorcycle-centric culture with old-school sound combining elements of classic Rock N’ Roll, blues and punk influences.  The Black Tibetans have been on countless tours and have shared the stage with bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Eagles of Death Metal, Brody Dalle (The Distillers), Social Distortion, The Supersuckers and more.

The Black Tibetans have had the opportunity to make an impression on the fans of many.  Through this, they have earned a fan base of their own that continues to grow.  With three records and working with well-established musicians in the industry, The Black Tibetans are destined to make a name for themselves. Their most recent release,  The Nashville Session produced by Dan Auerbach is out now and available for download on iTunes.

I have Known the Singer  for many years and have to say that this is one of the best Raw, 60’s style  Garage heavy Guitar groups I have heard in a long time and a well worth a look, their Music is their own style of old and New and if I had a hat on, I would tip it their way.

Try and get to see these Trio of mayhem and raunchy style music, their music is available on I-tunes and well worth some of that hard earned coinage that you lot acquire.

If you want entertainment at its very best, there is no other Band I would rather see right now than The Black Tibetans. ” dalai lama “.

Unusual Gas stations

People ask me about the blogs I put together, I know this is not about cafe Racers but hey- we all need to get gas, so I thought I would add a few pics of a cool collection of shots of old gas stations.

I have been to the Oregon Bomber one and loved it as I always wanted to check that out as a kid, thought you would get a kick out of seeing these as I did. Enjoy!

What’s going on at the shop this month.

Busy times at C.C.R.

We have a few projects getting finished and also some have just gone out of the door and will show some of these on the site a little later on.

But right now we are in the beginning of the Hot part of the summer and it will only get hotter, so I generally keep the doors closed and the fans on and see what we can achieve in these summer months.

Today had a great guy drive down from Phoenix in Arizona with an old 70’s style Chopper that he wants converted to MY style of Cafe Racer motorcycle, so this is going to be a cool little ride and am sure the bloke will be stoked when it is all transformed.

We also have a NEW website coming out soon with other cool parts as well as a Readers Ride page again as that was popular when I started that 13 years ago.

Also- many other parts and loads of apparel that I am sure you are going to like.

Plus- I am building a bike to Buzz about on and maybe you will dig the style of this bike and catch me at some events that we shall be attending later?

Good For The Skin

– Working with fiberglass can be an itchy and scratchy experience. Cover your arms with baby powder before you start the job.

– Got a good cut on your hand? The best thing I have found is pour or dip the effected area into motor oil. Yes it sounds stupid but the oil reacts with the wound and will help it heal faster.

– Last but for sure not least is Super Glue. This stuff can be used on anything from a hang nail to a skin flap. Remember that Super Glue was invented during the Civil war as an alternative to sowing people up. The stuff will hold a cut closed and you can get back to work without the hassle of a bandage falling off.

I Didn’t Know That? Low Fuel

This one is more for modern cars then hot rods but we didn’t know about it until we found this blurb in “Trucks” So we thought we would share it anyway.

Most any manufacturer nowadays has an electric in-tank fuel pump. Leading cause of death? Overheating due to low fuel levels. Today’s pumps are actually cooled by the fuel and when the tank gets too low, the pump is exposed and gets hot. The pump actually starves momentarily as you stop, go, and corner, which only adds to the problem. Don’t wait until the light is on to refuel

Good Thing You Have A Cat

We all spill and sadly guys we are adults now and Mom is not there to clean it up for us. But more to the point, how many times have you griped over the cost of “Super Clean” or another related clean up products. Spilling fluid of any kind on the garage floor is still best handled with kitty litter. It works better than any commercial absorber and doesn’t have any dust in it.
