HONDA’S New CBR-1100 Should of Been Produced.

Concept motorcycles tend to have strange lives. Some, like the Suzuki GSX1100S, a.k.a the Katana, generate such interest from the public that a production model appears the very next year. Others, like the Honda CB1100R concept, take a little longer.

honda-cb1100r-pro-08-1

Publicly shown in October 2007 together with the un-faired CB1100F, the single-seat racing-bodied CB1100R disappeared while its ‘F’ sibling made it into production in 2008. Fast-forward to 2015, and the ‘R’ has reappeared in the form of submissions at the Japanese patent office.

The patent filings deal with air-flow around the spark plugs of the CB1100 engine. Ducted air from the new fairing design is channeled to the plugs and the hottest parts of the engine to take away excess heat. This also helps the engine comply with Euro 4 standards by controlling emissions.

As reported by Motorcyclenews, the concept of the CB1100R is still cooking at Hamamatsu. Honda chief engineer Hirofumi Fukanaga, the man responsible for several generations of the Fireblade, said, “We can’t say no to this bike. It’s not just a simple concept bike – it can’t be. I can’t say when, but the way the European market is going we may well be seeing naked bikes and retro bikes out-selling sportsbikes and the CB1100 has been designed with a long time of development ahead of it.”

I Personally spoke to a few people from Honda USA when the came to visit me and could not emphasize enough that this model shown would be a real winner on the European and American market and I for one would be more than happy to ride one around Orange County for all eternity, as to me this particular model and styling is bang on for a retro Machine that has so much Nostalgia with many people of all ages when the Interceptor came out and started kicking arse on the tarmac.

honda-cbr11a

What I loved about this machine was, well Bloody everything, I mean, just have a gander at it, the 3/4 Fairing is reminiscent of old Paul Dunstall and Gus Khun days of cool after Market stream lining and Fairings that I could only drool about as a teenager in the 1970’s in Magazine and the Earls Court Motorcycle shows I attended back then.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And to have a Modern machine with all the New Whiz bang electronics and gadgets but a Wolf in Sheeps clothing to be honest, this machine would of made a tremendous impact where ever it went, and I for one would of loved the whole concept as it is pouring out the days of yesteryear and Bol d Dor Races from when I had poster on my bedroom wall taken out of Motor Cycle News etc.

honda-cb1100r-concept-2-850x567

Having a Modern Bike yet have the old style Twin shock is something that I really liked and reminiscent of the old Marzochii shocks of the day, I think Japan dropped the proverbial ball when they decided to not go this route and spew out a boring stock looking machine that not even I would take a second look upon.

honda-cbr1100

So I hope if enough people make a few waves about that Tokyo show proto type, it may make those guys with the big check books think twice and once again have Honda up there with the rest of the Power Houses that are on the road today. How can you not like this Concept, as if you are reading my Blog, well, you obviously love retro Motorcycles and Together if we make enough bloody Noise, we met yet see this ride over here, we were so close to getting this, I would hate it to be shelved forever.

I wait with baited breathe for this to occur but time is ticking and I aint getting any younger.

Drop an email, phone call, text or go there and let them know this is a Machine that really needs to be considered again as this will be a winner.

New, Stainless Steel Slip On Muffler for 2.5 inch header.

Here we go then, many of you ask about my products and what may be the next item I shall produce.

Well, this time I thought I would offer this unique and mandrel bend 049 Stainless steel Slip On exhaust tail pipe, that comes not only polished to a chrome like luster, but has a great baffle and end cap that finishes the end of the exhaust off very well indeed.

At the other end, this is opened up to accept the good old 2.5 inch header that CB750 Honda’s use and many other Japanese machines and this then simply pushes on.

What then? I mean what holds it on?

Well we have used a t-Bolt Hose clamp that’s ample enough for the job, but also is stainless too to match the look and style of this slip on.

This is a really nice set up and if you want that little more aggressive sounding bark from your header pipe, then this is the way to go, the Mac’s are OK, the kerkers are not bad, but lack that bark and you can change the bark with ours by removing some of the glass packing that we have on the baffle.

This is 12 inches in length and is ample for the look that you desire, but if you want you can always cut it down.

We bent these at 25 degree’s so just aggressive enough to look snarly and I am sure you will like this.

We hope that you look at the photos and see for yourself that this is a nice bit of kit and NOW available to you, we of course will ship around the globe, as we do all our parts and we feel that we need to cater for a few more cool items for the bikes we create and people ask us about.

And now, we have these in stock and ready to ship off to you.

T-Bolt Hose and Tube Clamps

The T-bolt design provides high strength and a 360° seal. The band is 3/4″ wide and 0.025″ thick. Clamps are reusable. The lock-nut has a nylon insert. Temperature range is –100° to +250° F.

300 Series Stainless Steel Clamps with Zinc-Plated Steel Bolt—The T-bolt and lock-nut are yellow zinc-plated steel, which has fair corrosion resistance. The band has rolled edges to protect soft hoses and tubes. Tighten with a 7/16″ wrench. Torque is 90 in.-lbs.

NEW CB350 HONDA 4 INTO 1 EXHAUST SYSTEMS AVAILABLE

Well, I thought that this time we would do a few cb350 exhausts and see if you like them, I didn’t have a CB350 model at the shop and could only find a snotty one that a Customer is going to turn into a Cafe Racer this year, so I used this as the template for the exhaust and it looks great, this will sound the same as the cb400 but they are a different exhaust system.

A very cool and style that was so popular when I was a teenager, tearing up the streets of London and ow available to you lot so you can enjoy this great old style system.

This is a raw steel pipe but we offer ceramic coating, that’s up to you, some people also chrome theirs and some even wrap them, so the choice is all yours.

We took some time with this and I like the up-sweep at the rear as well as making the headers swing out to the right and with that this clears the oil filter assembly area, and you have no issues with the front of the engine now.

Have a look and see what you think and in the mean time I shall be looking for a nice running model to fit this to, so you can hear how she sounds.

We really like this exhausts and its easy to fit, I did this on my own in 15 minutes, this just pushes into your cylinder head over your head bolts and use M6 flange nuts to tighten, no shims, no mess and no swearing- now that’s a good thing for your health already eh?

This comes complete with a baffle that has fiberglass packing and a cool end cap, and we supply the 350 performance badge too, up to you if you want it on there.

We like the way this looks and I am sure that you do too, the sound will be awesome as they sound just like our CB400 pipes and they really are a great piece of kit to have for your 350 machine.

Yes- we ship all over the globe too and we do help with multiple orders on these exhausts for all our models, and keep your eyes out for more stuff that we already have in the works.

Have a look and see what you think, we shall be adding more photos of these when we have fitted them to more motorcycles, so stay tuned to us.

4 into 2 Dunstall style Exhaust for S.O.H.C. Now Available $499

What a Great start to the New year and here is our Latest Product from us at the shop.

Here we are with my New 4 into 2 exhaust systems, they are now ready to be Double Nickel plated and then they can be shipped off to anyone that has a 1969-1978 CB750 HONDA.   That’s the S.O.H.C. Machine

These are a great exhaust and I shall be adding more photos as I go along, I shall also be fitting a set to my very own Cafe Racer machine so you can see and hear them as i fire it up and ride her around.  We are very excited about our New product as the Mac style are OK but have no thickness and sound too quiet.

So many people asked me about this set up and I hope you like what we have done here as it took quite some time, once these are Nickel plated they can be shipped and that will be next week for sure, so place your orders as I only have 12 sets right now.

Have a look, you will see that these are all hand bent and welded, these take time to make but thats how they did it back in the day and that is how I want them on my bikes and thought that you lot would also like them.

These will look in the same style as the Paul  Dunstall pipes of the day and am sure that you will like the way these sweep upwards too.

Sturdy and hug the frame well, these also have a Brazed captive nut so if you want to mount your own bracket to where ever you can, it is there for your disposle.

Once these are Nickel plated, these will shine and look just like they were originals from back in the day, we looked long and hard at designing these ans fitted this system a dozen times until i liked the bends and the sweep etc and I am now pleased to say that this is how I envisioned these to look like.

Have a look and see what you think, by next week I will have these Nickel plated and they will look great, but wanted to get these on the website for the New year and I have now managed that. I fitted these but painted this Black so you can see how they look a different color but this also is fitted to a 1977 CB750K and it fitted very well.

These are $499 a set and come complete with Nickel coating and the baffles as well, these will really set your machine off and we are proud to have these for sale to you.

Finally these are ready and I am happy to offer them to you, and yes of course we ship all over the globe too as we make all the other exhausts from cb350 up to the dohc 750, so keep checking our product lines as we are going to be making other systems too.

These Exhaust systems are ideal for you if you are building that Cafe Racer, Brat or Custom machine, or – just want to take your old rusty stock pipes off and have some exhaust that scream the style of the race track days of the mid 1970’s, and we tried hard to get these to look the part.

Please let us know if you want any more photos etc and we shall do our very best to answer all your questions.  I am sure that you are curious now and as I said we only have 12 sets of these right now, we shall be manufacturing some more but have many other systems we are working on right now, including Royal Enfield too.

So- have a good look and remember, these are raw steel, 049 wall from cold rolled, but we shall be Nickel plating them to give it that Vintage look.  These sit very well and give the Motorcycle a Racing look right out of the box.

We just painted these Black, so you could see them as a different color and they look pretty cool like that as well.

Also these are removable baffles too, look how thick the Aluminum end cap is. These are first class and you will see how well the systems are made when you unwrap them.

Shipping is about $45 to NY and FL and a wee bit cheaper the closer you are to us as we ship via FED EX.

CB400 4 into 1 exhaust now completed and available for $400

OK-here we are with yet another great 4 into 1 exhaust system that’s made from 0.49 Cold Roll and looks like the old Racing exhausts of yesteryear.

This is for the good old Honda 400-4 Super sport model 1975-1978 and I love the way that this fits and looks on the motorcycle.

Now, these will be available as Raw steel as you see here and also as a ceramic coated version too, but that’s a little more money.

Have a look and see what you think, as we had to make one for this machine and I may as well make a jig and continue to make them for this model bike.

This is good value and better than the Mac pipes you see out there and, this has the nice sweep to it too.

Later on we might offer stainless but for right now these raw steel versions are a great addition to your ride, you can chrome it, ceramic coat it, high temp paint it or wrap it, your choice when you get it to your place.

We are happy how this looks and I thought I would make some to get out there for the start of the New year as it is just around the corner now.

We send these out via fed Ex and we also ship around the world via USPS, shipping inside USA is about $45.

Much better than the stock version and this really does suit the motorcycle when you have it all fitted.

We are making a few different exhausts for these machnes now and the next one will be for the CB350 – Four models.

We Now Offer CERAMIC COATING for All Exhaust Orders!

A lot of our customers have asked us, “Do you guys offer ceramic coating for your exhausts?”

Up until now, we usually sold our Exhausts raw with no coating – just like the photo below…

GOOD NEWS!

We are now offering this service with the purchase of any of our exhausts, it is an extra $180 fee for this service.  You have the option for either BLACK or SILVER.

Take a look at the photos below & decide which style would look best on your Honda.

Huge Batch of 750 and 550 Exhaust systems. NOW DOHC TOO- $260!!!!!!

I now have a big line of Exhaust systems for the good old Honda’s and boy do they sound great, and these are selling like hot cakes.

These systems now fit, the CB500, the CB550, The CB750 SOHC and Now, available for the first time, the CB750 DOHC.

I have 50 sets of each right now and they are selling like proverbial hot cakes, these systems are affordable and ready to rock.

And at the New special price of $260 a set, how the FUDGE can you go wrong with that Price????

Have a look at just a few of the bikes I have had these systems on and the sound really is something else, if you go to my parts page, there is a video or two of me screaming down the tarmac with the 4 into 1 system blasting its deep dolcit tone.

These are all HAND MADE and they come in RAW STEEL, that way it keeps the cost down and you can decide if you want to powder coat, chrome or wrap them to your desire.

These are a Floating Flange set up, so if you have a 1969-1976 CB750 Model, A CB500, A CB550 or even now a 1979-1983 DOHC 750 you simply remove your old spigots that has the 2 Phillips screw heads and then take out the old crush gasket and fit new ones. they are available still at any motorcycle dealer, as CBR crush gaskets are the same.

Simply fit the crush gasket, then my exhaust system and use MX35mm bolts and there you go.

This does not have a bracket as it does sit tight into the head, but- you can weld a tab at the rear if you so desire, I do not  put the brackets on, as Then you are stuck with that fixing position.

Yes, the exhaust does get in the way of the center stand, and on the 500 and 550 model, the header is in the way of the oil filter.

But this is a true step into yesteryear and it sounds awesome, check the website for the video of me on the bike with that system.

Also, this come with an 8″ removable baffle too, so- you are all set to go.

I ship these all over the world, I have customers from Africa to Iceland and all seem to love the crisp bark this exhaust system delivers.
