Fun times ahead at the workshop.

Well, a New year and New projects, I have a bunch of bikes that need to get running and then decide which way to go in the way of building and creating something cool from the shop but many different platforms are sat in the Barn, just awaiting some wrench time, but I do enjoy creating New rides.

I get many questions on how do I put in the Knee inserts on gas tanks, well, first off, I find a damaged tank, I don’t want to use a good solid undented gas tank, seem a shame to bash the crap out of it to be honest, so I usually have something about the shop or in storage that I can use and love to repurpose something that has been discarded, but I do use ear defenders as I have already got  Tinnitus from years of grinding metal, riding motorcycles with No ear plugs and going to many gigs and standing up front by the speakers.

I really enjoy making parts for the machines I build and of course offering it to customers too, its a noisy job but if it was easy, then everyone would do it right?

I have a few ideas for New parts this year, so keep checking back with me, also I hope to offer parts for different models and brands of Motorcycle, so I should be able to help you all, my Customer Service really is hard to beat compared to the many shops that have sprouted up recently, this is my career and my passion not just a business.

If its engine parts you need, drop me a Dime or Text on 714-598-8392 and I am more than happy to help you lot out with your project, this year should be a fun one and maybe I will meet some of you at an event?  I have built many Motorcycle over the almost 23 years I have lived here in Southern California and look forward to building many more.

The Hot Rod and Razor exhausts Now in stock, this is how they sounds too.

Christmas time almost here

Tick Tick Tick is all I can hear right now, but its all cool, I have managed to get my Customers parts in the mail to them and in time for the big day too.

I thought this week I would add a video of stuff that interests me and this time it is an Indian Factory making the little 70cc 4 stroke Motors for their Impress bikes, looks like a Honda to be honest but great to watch.

If I can help with your orders, drop me a line or a text on 714-598-8392  email is carpy@carpyscaferacers.com

The Festive Countdown begins, Perfect time to buy parts as Gifts

Boy the weather is changing here and its getting a little cold in the Mornings, but I still sling my leg over my steed and ride off to work, but I actually put bubblewrap inside my jacket to keep the cold air out of my chest, an old Motorcycle Courier trick in London that I still continue to do for some reason.

I have had many orders for Christmas gifts but I only have a few days for the post to get to you in time, so order fast, I am running to the post office everyday to get your parts out to you.

Thank you for your continues support in what I do, it really does mean a lot, also love to be able to help you get that 2 wheeled machine on the road faster.

If you need help with questions about parts etc, drop a dime at 714-598-8392 or text for a faster reply.

Thank you once again for your orders.

To get your evening away better here is an amazing clip of how Sprockets are made in India, no safety shoes, glasses, gloves or even guards on machines, Brave people.

Only 2 weeks until Christmas day, time is flying by these days

The Clock is ticking and I have been busy filling orders and getting them off as fast as I can to get them in time for Christmas day, its a busy time of the year for all but I thank you all for your orders and repeat customers.

I have a busy year ahead of me with quite a few long time builds to complete and quite a few new products to introduce on my website.

To get your Sunday off, I thought I would add a video I watched yesterday, just to show you what is still hidden away in barns and shed etc.

Have a Great Sunday everyone.

15 days until the Jolly Round Fella Scrambles down the Chimney

I love this time of year and right now I have been shipping out many Exhaust systems to people all over the globe and even have a festive $100 off exhausts to try and give some Christmas cheer to you 2 wheeled racers out there. I am going to try and make some new parts in the 2023 season and am quite excited about that, I enjoy producing something that not only fits easily, but has a great look and works very well, also keeping the product affordable.

Finally had the website cleaned out, too many software issues.

Wow, what a crazy time I have just had the last 4 days, the website needed a lot of maintenance and my guy had quite the task of getting it back up to speed, Shipping manager was causing problems so forgive me if you had a tough time ordering the last few days but, we are now back up to speed.

So, with Christmas Season in full bore, I have had many orders to fill and get off in the post, I have managed to keep up as my Webmaster who built the site has really jumped in the deep end for me to get the bugs squashed and I’m back up to speed, but a few more updates to do and can get things going faster in the New year.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the phone calls, emails and texts about parts and how I can help with your Motorcycle etc., I love what I do and thank you all for supporting me, you can email me anytime at carpy@carpyscaferacers.com or Text me on 714-598-8392 and I will always reply.

December is now here

Well, December has already arrived, this year seems to be flying along and now that the temperatures are dropping, many people will be in their Garage, shed or barn, working on their Motorcycles to try and get it completed for the warmer months.

Its a Friday afternoon and I have to go up to the barn and work on a bunch of exhaust orders, I have a special deal on these systems and have temporarily knock off $100 on each system, what a great time to purchase a performance 4 into 1 exhaust from me.

Well, to get your Nostalgia in full swing here is a great old Video of the Yamaha RD350LC Pro Am race back in 1983, something to help pass the time whilst you are wrenching away, have a great Friday everyone.

Getting closer to Spiral Ham time

Jeez, time is flying by and I have many projects to get wrenching on, bikes to build and engines to strip but I do make fun Gift idea’s like Mechanical Lamps and also I am coning with new affordable parts for your machines, so be sure to check the website regularly as there may be some stuff that appeals to you.

From seats to handle bars, from Mirrors to signals, I hope to try and offer a bigger variety of products to help you get on the road, I mean, I am now coming up to 23 years doing this and never do tire of making parts available and, at a affordable price.

I hope to make more Gauge faces , so you can change out your faded, cracked or boring stock faces, I first did this about 35 years ago, nobody was making anything like this, so keep ya eyes peeled for cool sets.

I am always here to help, if you cant find something, Call, email or even text me on 714-598-8392 and I will do my best to get you covered, its what I do.

CB500 HONDA Cafe Racer Fired up with Gas tank back on

It is always a nervous time when you get something ready to ride and has not run in many decades and, it was back in the UK when it did run.  So many things can be wrong with it as no history to compare too etc, but, I fitted the Fiberglass Bimota gas tank and seat, poured in 97 Octane Gas and fired her up.

The Clutch was seized up as I thought it may of, sitting for many years unused will do that, I have had many bikes and cars for that matter with the same issue, I always start in neutral or fire up with clutch in and front brake locked on, just to see if she is seized on the plates etc.

I was super stoked to sling my leg over this machine and wait for the clunk! -As I pushed the rear set into first gear, she pulled away fine and I eased the bike out onto the road and went through the gears, all seems fine, although rear brake needs adjusting quite a bit but front did make up for it seeing it is now a double disc front set up.

I turned the bike around after about half a mile and rode it about a mile up the twisting tarmac to the the junction and pulled over, just to check on things, all was good, so I gave it some beans coming back as I wanted to see if she pulled harder and also, if she took a crap- Well I could roll home on momentum etc.

All was good and I see one clutch cover drip but need to change the oil, even though its clean, I like to know its all gone through etc.

The bike was quite responsive and I am happy with the way she rides, but I’m 50 pounds heavier than I was when I used to ride these back in the UK, although that didnt matter as teenager memories of my early days of Cafe Racer riding flooded back like a burst dam.

The weather was perfect today for riding this 50 year old inline Four and I bonded to this machine right away, laying on the tank was easy as I have my own Belly Airbag now but the feeling of Euphoria was immense as I went through the gears and felt the little 500 pick up speed, as these bikes really are a force to be reckoned with.

A bit more to do on the old Girl, Like New Throttle cables as right now it has just One and the idle will creep up a little and I prefer that snappy throttle with a return cable to be honest, also I want to adjust and Oil the chain and change the oil, it has rebuilt carbs now and New plugs and good gas and a New battery so we should be good.

A happy Medium for now but I will improve a few things later, better looking headlight and signals for sure and I need some bar end mirrors to see if anyone is chasing me lol.  Taking this out for its first time running in the USA was a brilliant feeling, like anything that has never run for years, there is always trepidation but I overcome that by clunking into first and whilst the beads of nervous sweat dribbled down my forehead, all disappeared in a roar of 4 stroke exhaust and I was Barry Sheene Once more.
